Reservoir Description and Modelling: banking your knowledge

Describing the reservoir geology and understanding dynamic behaviour is no simple task in a fractured reservoir because of the heterogeneity in properties. We offer a number of services which help to reduce uncertainties in reservoir description:

Fractured Reservoir Models: in fractured reservoirs models are often needed for a variety of purposes including reserve estimation, infill drilling, history matching and breakthrough prediction, or injector planning during secondary recovery. GeoScience use well (Well Fracture Studies), outcrop (Analogue Studies) and reservoir datasets (Inter-well Fracture Prediction) to build models which reduce risk in these activities.

In a fractured reservoir....expect the unexpected

In addition, we also offer a number of specific reservoir description services as follows:

Fracture Appraisal: for Exploration or New Venture teams handicapped by limited data we can evaluate whether fractures are likely to be an important issue for reservoir development, and recommend further data acquisition and characterisation measures as appropriate.

Basement Reservoir Characterisation: if you are dealing with hydrocarbons hosted in very low permeability fractured basement rocks such as granites, we have a track record of experience to help in reservoir characterisation. Our review of Hydrocarbon Production from Basement Reservoirs provides a wealth of information on these unconventional reservoirs.
