FRC Workflow: how it all fits together

This flow chart outlines the general methodology we apply in our FRC projects. It has been developed over the years and we are always seeking to improve the workflow to meet new challenges. Our various FRC services address different aspects of the workflow. Stage 1 corresponds to our Well Fracture Studies while Stage 2 is largely covered in Reservoir Description and Modelling, however services such as Geomechanics of Fractured Reservoirs can apply at both scales.

This workflow has evolved as reservoir characterisation requirements have themselves evolved and as new issues in fractured reservoirs have arisen, particularly in the coupled geomechanics area. We do not consider this the end of the story, indeed there are challenges still to be resolved in fractured systems such as fracture prediction in seismically transparent basement.

We invite your comments and feedback on this methodology and on the technical issues that you see as important to address in the drive towards improved fractured reservoir characterisation.
