More than twenty countries generate electricity from
hydrothermal systems and about seventy use hot fluids directly for industrial,
agricultural and leisure applications. Installed capacity is increasing rapidly
as new resources are exploited and Engineered Geothermal Systems are developed.
GeoScience has thirty years experience in geothermal energy
projects at all enthalpy levels and offers a range of services to support
projects from the feasibility stage, through planning and exploration,,
development drilling and testing, to implementation.
As founders and operators of the UK's Hot Dry Rock geothermal
programme in the 1970s and 80s, we are also well placed to support the
particular requirements of Engineered Geothermal System development, including
well completion, stimulation and monitoring.
We are currently working with Geothermal Engineering Ltd to
develop the first EGS power plant in the UK.
