Peter Ledingham
Operations Director
Peter joined the company in 1986, following six years at the
Camborne School of Mines HDR project, where he was a well testing and reservoir
engineer. He has thirty years experience in geothermal engineering and hydrogeological
testing. He has worked on geothermal developments in the
USA,
Europe and
Asia-Pacific, undertaking due diligence, well testing, reservoir evaluation and
project planning. He was Geothermal Technical Coordinator for the European
Commission from 1997 to 2000 and remains on the Commission’s panel of experts
for project evaluations. He is also a Director of Geothermal Engineering
Limited which is developing the first geothermal power project in the
UK.
Between 1989 and 1997 Peter was attached to the deep site
invest
igation programmes undertaken
by UK Nirex at Sellafield and Dounreay, initially as Hydrogeological Testing
Specialist to the data acquisition group and, later, as part of the
interpretation team and overview group. He was also Science Design Manager for
the planned first phase of the Rock Characterisation Facility at Sellafield.
Peter holds a BSc in Mining Engineering (1980) from the
Camborne School of Mines and qualified as a Chartered Engineer.
