Lucie Ayotte is an experienced mine geologist and hydrogeologist and now specialises in rock mechanics aspects of borehole stability, assisting technical specialists in determining mud weight profiles and deep geotechnical investigations. In addition to her rock mechanics work Lucie carries out hydrogeological modelling using MODFLOW. |
Peter Azancot
is a highly experienced well engineer and drilling operations manager. He now
specialises in well design, operational well engineering,
drilling project management and technical advice. |
Dr Tony Batchelor
has more than 30 years experience in applied rock mechanics, drilling engineering, geothermal development, project management and services to the oil & gas industry. Tony is the Managing Director and owner of GeoScience. |
Lynda Chebbihi
is a structural and sedimentological geologist with 10 years experience in
reservoir characterisation and engineering. Before joining GeoScience in 2005
she worked with both service
and oil companies, and now works on fractured reservoir characterisation projects involving analysis of core, image logs and
other downhole data. She also carries out sedimentological studies and in-situ stress determination form image logs. |
Alex Cook is
an engineering graduate from Camborne School of Mines who joined Geoscience in 2007 as a Technical Assistant working on
rock mechanics aspects of borehole stability. |
Dr Robin Curtis
has more than 25 years experience in energy engineering, data acquisition,
numerical modelling and low enthalpy geothermal systems. For the last 15 years
he has pioneered the use of ground-coupled heat pump systems in the UK and
is Technical Manager of GeoScience subsidiary EarthEnergty Limited |
Fritha Ellis is
an engineering graduate from Camborne School of Mines. She joined GeoScience as

Dr Zara Flynn has 10 years
experience in geomechanical modelling combined with geotechnical engineering, specialising in the
path from fieldwork to the characterization of fractured rock masses to geomechanical modelling |
Dr Andrew Foxford is a structural geologist with
6 years oil industry experience, specialising in fault and fracture characterisation from outcrop, well and field sources. |
Jon Gutmanis
is a structural geologist with 27 years experience in the hydrocarbons extraction, geothermal, and underground radioactive waste
disposal industries. He is Chief Geologist and Manager of GeoScience's Fractured Reservoir Characterisation services,
and he also leads the development and delivery of training courses and field trips in the characterisation and modeling
of fractured hydrocarbon reservoirs. |
Richard Hicks is
an experienced offshore data engineer, who joined Geoscience in 2007 as a Technical Assistant working on
rock mechanics aspects of borehole stability. |

acquisition, deep geological investigations and project management. He is the Operations Director of GeoScience. |
Sarah Marks graduated from the
Camborne School of Mines in 2004 and, having spent time offshore as a logging geologist, joined GeoScience
in 2006 as a Technical Assistant, working on rock mechanics aspects of borehole stability and geomechanical modelling. |
Dr Ross McCartney has 27 years experience in hydrochemistry
in the oil & gas, radioactive waste disposal and geothermal industries. His
expertise includes the interpretation of oilfield formation water and produced
water analyses, geochemical modelling, water-rock interactions, fluid sampling
and analyses and quality assessment of water analyses. |
Richard Pearson has 29 years experience in geophysical
wireline logging, production logging, log interpretation and quality management of field data acquisition.
He has 25 years experience in the application of wireline data to geomechanics
modelling and has been directly involved in the development of our borehole
geomechanics services. |
Nathan Prior
has 8 years experience as an offshore data engineer, unit manager and the rock mechanics aspects of borehole stability,
deep geotechnical investigations and geomechanical modelling. |
Anthony Proughten has 18 years experience in geological engineering, complex geological and geomechanical investigations, data interpretation, rock mass characterisation and geomechanical modelling. |
Dr Colin Watson has
23 years experience as a geotechnical modeller specialising in applied rock
mechanics, coupled heat and solute transport and hydro-mechanical processes in
fracture network models. |
Katy Whear
