Data Analysis

Sedimentological logging of carbonate and clastic cores and outcrops:

  • this is an essential step in understanding the relationship between depositional environments, sequence stratigraphy, diagenesis and the present day reservoir properties

 Petrography:

  • Carbonate and clastics semi-quantitative petrographic databasing and microfacies analysis of ditch cuttings, core and outcrop samples

Diagenesis:

  • Applied carbonate and clastic diagenesis and detailed cement stratigraphy
  • Temperature, timing and nature of diagenetic phases and relationship with burial history, hydrocarbon migration and porosity evolution
  • Design and interpretation of analytical programmes, including:
        SEM
        XRD
        Cathodoluminescence petrography
        Fluid inclusion microthermometry

    Stable isotopes

Borehole image log interpretation:

  • Facies interpretation, calibration with core, and integration with fracture and geomechanics studies
