Alex joined GeoScience in 2007 after graduating from Camborne School of Mines (University of Exeter) with a degree in Applied Geology. When not in the office he can usually be found under his car or out enjoying the Cornish coastline.

Working alongside Senior Technical Specialists within the Borehole Rock Mechanics Group
Undertaking all aspects of wellbore stability work, responsibilities include reviewing, analysis and processing of geotechnical data and operational reports, geomechanical modelling and interpretation of results, preparation of presentations and technical reports and assisting in presentations to client
Geomechanical modelling has been undertaken for major oil companies based in the North Sea and North Africa with a range of factors contributing to wellbore stability issues
Wellbore stability work has been carried out for through tube rotary drilling (TTRD) wells, drilling support and post drilling reviews
Other work includes writing coring procedures, providing sanding assessment and undertaking technical reviews of geomechanical literature pertaining to wellbore stability issues
Summer 2006 - Independent Mapping Project.
Completed in Ireland, involved the mapping of approx 18km2 and the collation of a written report on the areas of geology.
Summer 2005 – Aircom International.
Telecommunications Consultant: Involved optimising Oranges mobile 3G network in London.
