All around the world about 90 countries use geothermal energy to provide renewable electricity or heat, with installed capacities of 15GWE and 108GWt (2020). Its uses range from moderate temperature applications for space heating or cooling to very high temperature applications for large scale power generation.

GeoScience has been active in the geothermal industry for 35 years and our aim is to promote geothermal as a viable and attractive option to meet low-carbon energy needs in places where up to now its take up has been slow. We are particularly interested in developing the industry here in the UK.
