Rick has a degree in Geology from Cardiff University and an MSc in Applied Geotechnics from Camborne School of Mines. He worked as a data engineer in the North Sea prior to joining GeoScience in 2007.

Working as part of the Borehole Rock Mechanics Group assisting in the prediction of wellbore stability for drilling, completion and production operations.

Duties include collating, analysing and interpreting geotechnical data to determine parameter properties for input into proprietary geomechanical model.

Review of operational reports to establish observed wellbore conditions for model calibration. Preparation of presentations and technical reports for clients
2005 to 2006 – Datalog Technology Ltd, Data Engineer.

Working as part of a small service team to the oil and gas E & P Industry. Duties included monitoring drilling operations, lithological analysis and interpretation, data acquisition and quality control, database management, data presentation, maintenance of technical equipment
