As a recent graduate, Jos contributes to technical work and offers new insights as well as up-to-date software experience to the geothermal department.  

Jos graduated with a first-class honour’s degree in Geology from the University of St Andrews in 2022. His thesis project centred around locating and assessing deep geothermal prospects in the Northeast Scottish Highlands.  It was during this time that he attended the 2021 UK geothermal symposium and met with the GeoScience team. His passion for geothermal energy earned him a summer internship that soon led to full-time employment at GeoScience Ltd.

Currently his primary responsibilities at GeoScience include researching and summarising topics, writing large technical sections in reports, collecting and compiling large data sets for analysis, assisting in data analysis for geological interpretations, spatial analysis and map design for the department, and site-specific subsurface temperature modelling.

Jos has a rapidly growing knowledge base of geothermal operations and a range of software experience that aids in providing our clients with high quality reports/studies based on extensive research and data analysis.
