PORE PRESSURE
PREDICTION

An accurate pre-drill pore pressure and fracture gradient (PPFG) profile enables you to anticipate formation pressures and have sufficient mud weights and mitigation measures in place to minimise risk while drilling.

Unexpectedly high pore pressures can lead to well control issues, with the potential for a blowout. Lower than expected pore pressures can lead to stuck pipe or lost circulation with possible loss of tools, additional casing strings or even unplanned sidetracks.

The GeoScience Oilfield Geomechanics group use specialist software to provide pore pressure profiles for your wells which are calibrated to offset well behaviour to enable determination of the optimum mud weight window.
